Japanese uses three separate writing systems: hiragana

Levels of Japanese proficiency

There are a total of 5 levels in Japanese. N5 to N1 (N5 being the beginner and it moves upward till N1 being the highest level.) Level N5 Proficiency Basic introduction to Japanese language & script One can understand familiar expressions and phrases. If spoken slowly, one can follow simple conversations. Level N4 Proficiency Elementary You can have basic conversations with Family, Friends &Public places You will Know even more about Japanese Culture, Work Culture & Lifestyle One can read, understand, and follow familiar topics concerning daily life situations. One understands basic Japanese. Level N3 Proficiency Intermediate Be able to speak and understand intermediate-level business Japanese. One can understand specific contents regarding everyday situations by grasping the difficult writings or conversations to some extent. Level N2 Proficiency Upper-Intermediate One can comprehend and communicate effectively in most situations, including abstract topics and formal discussions, with a high degree of proficiency. Level N1 Proficiency Advance One can understand and produce complex Japanese texts, including literary works and professional documents, with near-native fluency and accuracy.

Introduction of Japanese Language.
Hiragana Script & Day-to-Day Words, Katakana Script.
Introduction of Grammar-based on MINNA NO NIHONGO
Introduction of Kanji (Basic 120 Kanjis for JLPTN5)
Basic communication in Japanese
Listening

Master vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension related to the JLPT N3 level.
Be able to comprehend contents spoken at an almost natural speed in daily life conversations.
 Be able to comprehend and read everyday topics, slightly complex Japanese sentences, and newspaper headlines.
 Be able to have Japanese intermediate-level conversations in everyday life.
Be able to speak and understand intermediate-level business Japanese.

Duration in hours- 140 hours
Required period- 5 to 6 months approx.

Why learn Japanese?

Japanese language is spoken by over one-hundred forty million in Japan alone. It is also the natural second language for some of the people of China and Korea. Early Japanese continued to evolve into its current form until over a thousand years ago when the Japanese people started recording their language through poetry and other writings. Japanese has been one of the most influential foreign languages regardless of the purpose of the person behind learning it.

The purpose may vary. It can be professional or personal objectives such as grabbing lucrative career opportunities, travelling or just having the pleasure of learning a new language. Japanese can open immense career opportunities worldwide. It allows understanding Asian culture. The cultural significance of Japan is growing in real as well as virtual world. Japanese is one of the most polite languages.

Even if you are travelling to Japan as a tourist, it will make your stay comfortable and pleasurable if you know a reasonable Japanese language and culture. A minimum knowledge of Japanese will help you to communicate with people while ordering food in the restaurant, asking for address or reading the signs and boards on the road. The most challenging task while learning Japanese is to remember the vocabulary.
